QEEG as a Novel Parameter of Neuroplasticity in Elderly with Mild Cognitive Impairment

Neuroplasticity is the ability of brain to change structurally and functionally in compensation for changes related age or disease. In elderly people, most common neuroplasticity problem mild cognitive impairment (MCI). MCI a syndrome defined as decrease function that not appropriate person's educational level. One way minimize progress deterioration by doing physical exercise, such walking. this study, participants did activity walking at least 4000 steps/day 3 months. Cognitive was measured wave parameters with Quantitative Electroencephalography (QEEG). (EEG) signals were recorded before after intervention. The EEG results showed QEEG intervention increased alpha frequency band decreased delta band.
